Dr.Zahidur Rahman was borne in a town Jhenidah in 1974. It is one of the historical Place of Bangladesh. He completed his school and intermediate level from Shishukanja High school and Govt.KC college Jhenidah in 1990 and 1992 respectively. 

He completed his graduation in medical science from Khulna Medical College in 1999.After that he completed his post-graduation in surgery (Fellow ship) from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons in shortest possible time with first chance appearing all his exam.in July 2004. In his time he was one of the youngest Fellow in Surgery from College of Physicians and Surgeons of Bangladesh.

After his fellowship he started his academic and surgical carrier in Non-government medical college since 2004. He has shown his excellent academic performance and become a phase co-ordinator, academic co-ordinator and head of department of surgery in different medical colleges. Doctor zahidur rahman has many publications as an original article that has been published in different journal in this country including the journal of Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons. He has published a book of Operative Surgery in its first edition followed by second edition in the year 2010 and 2018 respectively. With all his excellent academic back ground he was selected as a professor of Surgery by the Faculty of Medicine, University of Dhaka, in the year 2014. In his time he was the youngest professor in the Faculty of Medicine, Dhaka University, Bangladesh.
